Another joyous week in the astrological calendar! Well, with Saturn opposing the sun we have to be realistic. Indeed, getting real is the theme of the week, whether we have to listen to our leaders informing us of the unemployment figures and tax increases or discovering that something in our lives - maybe even oneself - hasn't performed as well as expected. Now, just in case you're beginning to feel like throwing in the towel before the week has even begun let me share this with you. It's my birthday on Monday. And, yes, I'm celebrating (or, rather, commiserating) with Saturn and Pluto. So, if you run into a minor rut in the road this week spare a thought for your astrologer who looks set to be hurtling into all manner of road blocks throughout the next twelve months.

Your window on the world should be full of colour! Some of the most important aspects of the year will take place in March, many of them precursors to dramatic changes in political and economic circles. Almost every week produces a key astrological alignment but particularly worth waiting for will be events on or near the 10th (Mars in Leo turns direct, Venus opposes Saturn and squares Pluto) and the period of the 15th - 30th (effectively the entire second half of the month with the sun's and Mercury's conjunction to Uranus, opposition to Saturn and Pluto, all topped off with a full moon in Libra). In this month's newsletter I have written extensively about the euro crisis, and with a deadline of 16 March looming for Greece and the Euro zone the prospect of a happy ending looks slim to say the least. On a lighter note, the Oscars could produce some very unexpected and controversial winners.
